Our attitude and ability to effectively deal with work, school, and career goals greatly affect wellness, performance, interactions with others and overall success. Physical activity is defined as any body movement resulting in energy expenditure higher than resting 1. A person who is doing exactly what they want to do in life and is comfortable and content with their work and leisure plans is in a healthy state of occupational wellness. However, occupational physical activity does not seem to affect longevity in women. Conclusions: Nurses' occupational physical activity levels largely consist of light-intensity physical activity interspersed with moderate-intensity tasks. Occupational wellness is the ability to achieve a balance between work and leisure in a way that promotes health, a sense of personal satisfaction and is (for most people) financially rewarding. Our results suggest that moderate to high occupational physical activity contributes to longevity in men. However, the definition of the nursing populations studied were often poorly reported, and few researchers reported the validity and the reliability of the measurement tools used.
